Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn tractor problem, safety switches, hydrostatic drive

Sears Model #917.273080 22HP hydrostatic drive lawn tractor dies when I let off the clutch.

Have you checked any of the safety switches? you should have 1 for the clutch,1 for the seat,and one for the blade engagement. See if they are in good shape unplug the switch and put a paper clip in the socket on 1 at a time try each one by themselves if it still does this try 2 at a time and then 3
