Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): briggs & stratton 8hp vertical shaft --need connecting rod, briggs and stratton, briggs stratton

I have an old snapper rear engine ride on lawn mower with  an 8hp vertical shaft Briggs and Stratton engine. My problem is that I need a connecting rod but there are no "numbers" (serial,model,code) on the engine. what I can tell you is that the mower is at least 15yrs old (maybe more)

Hello Dan:

Look for the Model, Type and Code Numbers to be STAMPED Into the Blower Housing (Metal Engine Cover) Above the Spark Plug. You May have to Use a Wire Brush and Clean the Paint and Rust Off to View the Numbers. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.
