Answer
Sometimes even a Kawasaki has problems.   When he says the factory can't fix it, he's really talking about "DTAC" Dealer technical assistance center.  It,s like 9 guys who have 4 years college at some place like Texas A&M or similar agricultural colleges, sitting in cubicles.   They have lots of training but limited hands on experience.

You need to demand that the dealer do a vacume test and a leak down test.  If he has this equipment, and uses it, this should be an easy repair.  Ask him the results, I'm guessing either he doesn't have the proper equipment, or, he doesn't know how to use it.  If he can give you the results of these test, reply back and diagnosis will be easy.

If he can't tell you the results of these test you need to do this exactly.   I want to be contacted by my TCSM.  They will know what you mean.  Use those exact words. I WANT TO BE CONTACTED BY YOUR TCSM.  They are required to put you in touch with him. He is the "technical customer service manager".  He has a lot of area to cover so give him a couple of days, but he should be able to help you.  He has the ability to get you a new engine.  Demand it!  But be so nice it would make you puke, I mean explosive vomit sweet and nice.  It will get results.  Explain to him that you have an 8,000.00, nearly new tractor, and the dealer says he can't fix it.  Demand an engine!!!

If you send me the dealers name, city, zip code, I will even give you the ^TCSM's phone number.  I warn you though, if you tell any one where you got his number I will have to kill you.
