Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Reciprocating saw stops, then, starts again, drive pinion, american tool

Question
I have a reciprocating saw: American Tool Exchange #62001;120v/60hz, 1000w, 2300spm. The blade moves, but as soon as it touches a pipe to cut, it stops. Then, if I press the starter, it starts, but again it stops. Sometimes the blade stops, but the motor inside seems operating. What should I do?

Answer
Hello Makoto:

From your Description, it Sounds like the Blade Drive Pinion is Damaged. Purchase a New Saw. The Cost for the Repairs will Almost Equal a New Saw. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
