hello i have looked at your answers for the v twin broken rods Your answers are kinda OK but, i dont konw if you know that this vtwin has a problem with broken rods i orded parts from GILLS small engines in alvin Texas,it has taken Way to long for my parts i even emailed briggs corp no answer ,i work and small engines and we have our own Business, we need a Whole sale parts dist. Bad i even have tax id ## any way Gills told me briggs has a up dated crank for the vtwin with new rodds also, i found this out because ai ordered a rod for this enging and it didnot work on the old crank,the new rod didnot look like the one that was still good, anyway waiting on new crank and 2 rods you might want to check on this here is the # off the cover and the new rod #  dont have the new crank # yet ,  model  445777  type  0129 e1
code  001128yg   the new crank # is 699699 and it willnot fit the old crank next to the on good rod, is there a TSB for this What a piece of Junk i am working on this for my neighbor  Thanks Roy W. Algoa Texas

I did Receive a TSB, but No Recall Notice. When Replacing a Broken Rod in Certain B&S Model Twin Cylinder Engines you "MUST REPLACE THE CRANKSHAFT AND BOTH CONNECTING RODS". Thanks for Bringing this to My Attention. I did Not Realise I had Answered Questions Pertaining to Broken Connecting Rods on a Twin Cylinder B&S and I Appolgize for Any Inconveince I May have Caused Anyone for Failing to Remember the TSB Information. I Use Outdoor Distributors, Dixie Sales and Rotary Parts Corporation for Most Parts Unless it is Required I Purchase OEM Parts. All these Suppliere have an Excellent 5 to 7 or 7 to 10 Day Delivery on Most Parts. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
