Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Toro 8 25 Rider Mower Wont Cut, spindle bearings, proper manuals

Question
Hi. My Toro 8 hp 25 in. rider runs fine, but when I engage the deck and go to cut grass, it bogs down and dies, even at the highest setting. I put a new blade drive belt on last year, and it seems like it's doing the same thing. Do I need another new belt, or could it be something else? And I can i adjust without flipping it on it's rear, draining the gas and oil? Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hello Mike:

Make Sure the Blade is Routed Properly. If the Engine Boggs Down when the Blades are Engaged, then Check the Mandrals/Quill Assemblies/Blade Spindles and Idler Pulley for a Bad Bearing. If the Spindle Bearings and Idler Pulley are Good, then it May be a Carburetor Problem. The Extra Load Requires More Fuel and If the Carburetor is Dirty and Restricting the Gas Flow Through the Carburetor Jet, the Engine Will Bogg. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine and Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist you. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
