Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): L17.542 Lawn tractor, spark plug wire, truns

The engine truns over fine, but I am not getting any spark,
What do I need to check?

Pull the fan shroud off and pull the wire off of the coil ( the thing the spark plug wire goes into).  Turn the engine over, do you have spark now?  If the answer is no you need a coil.  If you do have spark you, wait a minute, you won't.  Sounds like a coil to me.
