Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Push mower pull cord length, recoil starter, starter rope

Hi John, here's an odd & vague question.

What is the recommended, or average pull cord length for a push mower?

My GF's kid broke their pull cord & threw the pieces away & I have no clue as to what to cut the replacement cord length to.

That Depends on Where the Pull Handle is Located (at the Engine or at the Handle Bars). Also Weither it is a Horizontal or Vertical Pull Recoil Starter. Thanks for the Good Words. Horizontal Pull Starter Rope, Handle Attached at the Habdle Bars is 66" to 70" and with the Handle Attached at the Engine is 30" to 34".
