Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tiller runs untill it gets a load, hp briggs, adjustment screws

Question
I have a tiller with a 5 HP. Briggs. It starts up and runs until I put the tines to the dirt and then it cuts off. It will turn the tines fine in the air but when it hits the work it cuts off in a few seconds. Can you help? Thanks.

Answer
Hello Chris:

From your Description, it Sounds like the Carburetor. Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. Some Carburetors have Adjustment Screws that May Solve the Problem when Adjusted. Other Carburetors are Non-Adjustable and Require Cleaning. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let Me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
