Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): murray rider, bad hope, model numbers

I just picked a 30" murray rider and got it started, it runs great, but wont shurt off with key!

Hello John:

You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the B. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers.  Then Select Download File. The Engine Cut Off Connector is Show on Page 2 of 10, Breakdown Item #210. Jumper from this Connection to a Ground while the Engine is Running. If the Engine Shuts Off, then Check the Ignition Switch. If the Ignition Switch is Good and Grounding Properly, then the Wire from the Ignition Switch to the Terminal is Bad. If the Engine Doesn't Shut Off when you Ground this Terminal, then the Wire to the Coil/Armeture/Ignition Module is Bad. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
