Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Primer Bulb on older Briggs & Stratton mower, e mail address, briggs stratton

The primer bulb on the Murray Sprint 3.75 Lawnmower needs replacing. It's black, about 1" in diameter. The Model nunber is22262X7A with a date code of 0853. That is all the numbers we can see. Where can I purchase this primer part and any necessary hardware that will attach it? How do we remove and replace? This will be done by 16 year old grandson with some small motor repair in school along with encouraging, cheerleading granny! The rest of the mower works fine.

Great that your grandson is learning a trade.....who knows maybe one day he will be one of us on here. I will need the engine model # and type # that can be found on the valve cover or stamped on the engine. To remove the primer there is a tool for that also one for reinstalling. If you are careful you can install one with out the tool.If you get me those #'s I will get you a diagram for that section I will need your e-mail address.
