how do you take the nut off the top of the pulley , so i can remove broken mandrel housing from the mower deck on craftsman riding mower model number 917.275371.do you need a special tool to put where blade is attached, thank you

If your Mandral Requires the Pulley to be Removed Before the Mandral Housing can be Removed from the Deck, then Hold the Shaft for the Blade Removal with a Pipe Wrench or Block the Blade. Then Loosen and Remove the Mandral Nut. Go to this Site Addy, http://www3.sears.com/ and Enter the Model Numbers in the Search Box at the Upper Left and Click Go. Then Visually Verify the Equipment and Click Continue. Now you can Select Either View Diagram or View Parts List. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
