Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 1967 Sears suburban hh100 coil conversion, solid state coil, ford chevy

Question
Hello,
I have a Sears Suburban. All of the information is listed below. I have a bad coil and have looked for one all over and it has been discontinued. I have heard that you can take a Ford, Chevy, or Dodge starter or something to convert the lawn mower from points and coil to something else. Can you please help me out. Feel free to contact me at bubba_joe_hat64@yahoo.com
Thank you for the help

Answer
Hello Joshua:

The Replacement Coil With Electronic Ignition (Solid State Ignition) is Tecumseh Part #610748. All you have to Do is Disconnect the Shut Off Wire from the Point Set and Connect it to the Solid State Coil/Magneto. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the T. Then Select Tecumseh. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Enter the Model Numbers HH100.  Then Select the Model you wish to View. You can Contact them as I did at 1-877-707-2787. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let Me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
