Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs&Straton 18 HP gas in oil, briggs straton, hp gas

Have a Murray Select mower with an 18HP Brigs OHV engine and when I checked the oil it had gas in it. I understand this engine has some type of electronic choke on it and may be causing my problem. Not sure any help would be great, thanks.

The float/needle in the carb is not sealing 100% so the gas is leaking into the crankcase. If the needle & seat are worn then replacement is best, but first be sure fuel tank & line are clean or it will get dirty as fast as you clean it.
