Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 6.0 H.P B&S Craftsman Mower(917.377150), briggs and stratton, spray cleaners

Question
Started the mower, after 10min it died, now it starts after using the prime button, but then stops after it burns the fuel from the prime. If I continue pressing the prime button it will continue to run?? Checked the float bowl, it had a little junk in it, pulled the air filter plate from the top of the carb and used carb cleaner to clean the carb, but still need to keep pressing the prime button to keep it running.

Remove, Disassemble and Soak the Carburetor Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner (I use Gunk). Then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install a New Kit if Required. Using Spray Cleaners for the Carburetor Rarely Work. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.outdoordistributors.com/ and Select the B. Then Select Briggs and Stratton. Then Select Don't have Part Numbers. Then Select the File #12.  Then Select the Folder #12H800. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance.
