Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Riding mower wont go into gear, riding mower, shift lever

Question
I have 2 2 year old Poulan riding mower and when I tried to use it this year (for the first time) it will not go into gear. It worked fine at the end of last year?

Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. It May be Something as Simple as Spraying Lube to the Shift Lever Where the Shift Lever Enters the Transaxle. Thanks.
