Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): small engine floods, briggs and stratton, seat kits

Question
I have a 6hp briggs and stratton on a tiller that at first wouldn't get gas.  Found that the gasget in the needle hole was messed up.  I replaced it with a new one, no when the engine is turned off it floods.  Im not sure if I missed something on the carb or not.  Runs fine, but like I said when I turn it off gas starts poring out of the bowl.  Any ideas?

Answer
Hello Wayne:

Send me the Model Numbers Off the Engine, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. From your Description, it Sounds like the Needle or the Seat in the Carburetor Isn't Working Properly. The Gas Flow Should be Stopped by the Carburetor Needle and Seat. You Need to Check the Carburetor Needle and Seat for Proper Installation. There are 2 Types of Needle and Seat Kits. One has a Long Needle with a Black Rubber Tip and the Other Type has a Short All Metat Needle with a Round Rubber Seat that Must be Installed Into the Carburetor. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let Me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
