Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): LX188 stops running, fuel pump, fender

Question
Riding mower runs for a few mins and then quits, Gas line is clear and not leaking air. Each time i attempt to start it it runs for a moment or so and quits like the ignition has been shut off. Battery is well charged and the fuel pump is strong. I have run out of ideas. Please help mike

Sounds like a clogged fuel pick up tube to me.
Pull off the fender deck and pull the tube out of the tank. Clean it thoroughly. When you say a few minutes do you mean 5 seconds or do you mean 1 minute on choke. If the answer to either of these questions is yes you need to clean the carb and fuel pickup.
