Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray 5.0 HP Push Mower, push mower, problem thanks

My mower cranks perfectly, it just dies in about 5 seconds.  It started last week.  What could be the problem?  Thanks for your help.

Sorry Sue you got a dirty carb.
Pull the carb and clean well. If you can';t do this yourself take it to the shop for cleaning.
Shake what you got baby! It might get moved to the top of the priority list. Most mower shops that are good will have a 3 week wait this time of year.
