Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 18 HP Briggs, hp briggs, test light

I hit some chain with my mower which seized the blades.  I shut the tractor off, freed the blades but now I just get a clicking noise (solenoid?).  The battery is good but it appears there's no power to the starter.  Any ideas?

You might be a Redneck ... if you hit a chain while mowing the lawn.
Hitting a chain with your deck won't make your tractor not start.
Are you sure you turned the deck off when you tried to restart it. Common mistake. Try jump starting it with your pick-up. I assume you have a pick-up since you hit a chain with your mower. If it starts then you know you have a battery or charging problem. What do you mean it appears to not have power to the starter. You must be good if you can see electricity through the wires. Get a test light and find out for sure.
