Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Murray Select - 309007X8A, safety switch, key switch

Question
After replacing the solenoid, battery, fuse, key switch - to the tune of $274.00 at a mower repair shop - not to mention being without my mower for 2 weeks - it was return to me today - was working.  The delivery guy rode it off the truck and into my garage.  I scurried back to work and upon returning home, I find my mower only cranks - but doesn't turn over.  Please help!  And where do I find the carb on this thing?

Answer
Hello Lisa:

Go to this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select Online Parts Look Up. Then Select the Model Tab. Then Select the OEM (Murray). Then Enter the Model Numbers 309007X8A. Then Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. You can View the Mower in Breakdown/IPL form. The Easiest Way to Locate the Carburetor is to Follow the Gas Line from the Gas Tank to the Carburetor. From your Description it Sounds like a Safety Switch Isn't Making Contact Properly and Not Allowing the Coil/Ignition Module to Fire the Spark Plug. Most Likely the Clutch Safety Switch. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
