Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Riding Lawn Mower, craftsman riding lawn mower, sears store

Question
I have a Craftsman riding lawn mower. I bought it new at a local Sears store about 10~12 years ago. The mower does a really good job on cutting the lawn but, every since I have had it, I am lucky to get just one season of cutting grass due to the battery's keep going bad. About a couple of years ago, I had the starter replaced, then about a month ago I purchased another new battery. Starting thhis year after I get done mowing the lawn, I disconnect the battery cables, and then the next time I use the mower it starts good. But I were to leave the battery cables hooked up to the battery, I am sure that soon it will start having a slugish start due to the battery. I don't think the battery is the actual problem (root cause). I feel like that mayybe it has something to do with the wiring on the mower. Any comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated

Answer
Hello Mark:
Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool. A Bad Ignition Switch (Leaking Current to the Stator and Sometimes they will Leak to Ground) will Drain a Battery. A Bad Starter Solenoid will Will Leak to Ground and Drain the Battery Also. Hope this Helps. I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Let Me Know What Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
