i have a stuck valve so i pulled the top off and put oil down the stem and when i turned the fly wheel it would go up and get stuck so i put a hunk of wood on it and hammer it down again what else can i do to ease this up so it will run again

Wait!! Don't Hit the Valve Again, Please. You can Replace the Valve , if the Guide has Not been Damaged. That's the Only Way to Really Cure this Problem.
