Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda Mower - Engine Surge, honda mower, honda engines

Question
I have a Honda HRM215PXA (GXV140-135 engine).  The engine "surges" in RPM (up & down) when I'm attempting to run it in any position other than full choke.  It sounds like I need to clean and rebuild the carburetor.  Do you know where I can get  step by step instructions on rebuilding the carburetor?  Thank you for your help!

Answer
Hello Don:

I can Give you a Couple of Addys that should have the Breakdown/IPLs (Diagrams) that will Show the Carburetor. I can Answer Any Questions that you have about the Disassembly and Reassembly. I can Use the Breakdown/IPL that you are Using so we See the Same Things and are Sure of Our Communication. Here are the Addys 1- http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and 2- http://www.honda-engines-eu.com/en/service/spareparts/heepartscatalogue/index.js... If you Look at the Breakdown/IPL and want to do the Rebuild, then Remove and Disassemble the Carburetor. **Note: You Don't have to Remove the Pressed in Plugs.** Soak the Carburetor Overnight in Carburetor Cleaner (I Use Gunk in the Gallon Can. It Comes with a Dip Pan) and then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Kit. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

Good Luck
