Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Blade replacement, craftsman model, blade replacement

I have a craftsman model #917.272053 S/N 030501B002325 and replaced one blade with part # 134149.  After checking the other blade I noticed the blades were put on with one cut side up and one cut side down.  Is this the way it is suppose to be or are they supposed to be installed both the same?  If the same, does the cut side, beveled edge, go up or down?

 Hello Jackie:

 The Blade has a Flat Side and a Raised Side (the Lift Ears). When the Blades are Mounted the Bevel and Lift Ears Should be Facing Away from the Ground. The FLAT SIDE of the Blade is Down Towards the Grass. All Mower Blades Should ne Mounted in this Manner. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please.
