Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda gx 390 13hp motor valve settings, honda gx 390, blade type

Question
What are the specs. for the valve clearances and how do you set the valves. Thanks

Answer
 Hello Shannon:

Sorry for the Delay. I have been having PC Troubles. Owner's manuals and service manuals are available from your authorized Honda Dealer. They are also available from Helm Incorporated. Helm can be contacted online at www.helminc.com. They can also be contacted by calling toll free (888) 292-5393 between 8 AM and 6 PM EST, Monday through Friday. However, Remove the Valve Cover. Set the Engine to Top Dead Center. Then Using a Blade Type Feeler gauge, Set the Intake to .002in - .004in and the Exhaust to .008in - .010in. This is the Gap Between the Valve Stem and the Rocker Arm. You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine at this Addy http://hayward.arinet.com/scripts/EmpartISAPI.dll?MF&app=ASP&lang=EN&TF=Mainfram... and Select the Catalog American Honda. and Click Go. Then Select the Engine File. Then Scroll Down Until you Locate the File for your Engine. Click on this File. Then you can Select the Components you Wish to View Online. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
