Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S governor, spring mount, first offense

Question
I would like to know how I can speed up the B&S governor.  Since new the mower has seemed to run barely above an idle.  Any grass over 6" will stall it.  It is one of the Toro Super Recyclers GTS5 top of the line 7 years ago.  Also I would like to know how to override the shut down when I let go to move something out of the way.  I didn't need that the first 60 years of my life and I don't need it now!!  Maybe you are not allowed to answer that?  If not I can figure it out.  Thank you,  Melvin

Answer
You're right Melvin, I can't tell you how to bypass the safeties (up to 20,000.00 fine for first offense).
You've bent the governor spring mount at the front of the engine.Look for the spring attached to an eye at the front of the engine above the carb. Bend the arm holding the spring away from the engine until the RPMs come up. You probably bent the mount mowing under a bush or something. This is very common.
Good Luck
