hey Eric. i have a 98 gth 200 huskvarna mower. its a 20 hp and it has a cv 20s-65549 model engine. it will not start. it will turn over but i have no spark to my plugs.i have put new plugs in then checked and there was no spark coming through the wires.could both coils go out at the same time or could it be another problem? i have worked on this thing for 2 days .. and i am about to lose my mind!! pleas help me!! thank you !!     hal

Answer
Rarely to both coils go bad at the same time.  Most likely there is a safety switch causing the problem.  Starting at the key switch, follow all the wires to each switch and to the engine.  Check each connection by dis-connecting and re-connecting each one.  Also check the fuse.
When tracing wires to the engine you should find wires that connect to the charging system.  There are usually one to four wires on the charging system.  You should also find another wire connected to a terminal block or spade connector on the engine block.  This should be for the ignition system.  Disconnect the wire and see if you have spark.
This is difficult to explain but easy to do.  Let me know if this makes sense and helps out.
