Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): onan engine p218g, sectional view, condensor

have no fire from the coil on the p218 engine, I have replaced the condensor but didnt help,What normally ahppens when one of these engines wont fire its on a jd 318 lawn tractor.This is my first onan engine and im trying to understand how this operates.The firing of the coil something has to signal it to fire what going wrong here.

 Hello Dennis:

 Usually when there is No Fire on this Model Engine, the Cause is the Ignition Control (Part Number HE166-0785). You can View a Breakdown/IPL at this Addy http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H... and Enter the Model Numbers 318 and Click Search. Then Select your Mower from the Search Results. The Select Sectional View. Then Select Electrical. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.
