Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): craftsmen mower, safety switches, safety switch

Question
i have a 14.5 craftsmen mowr.The starter wont turn with the key on.I have jumped the solenoid and it does turn over.Does this mean my solenoid is bad?..the fuse looks okay.....Gavin

 Hello Gavin:

 No! There could be a Safety Switch that is Stopping the Switch from Working. Check the Seat, Clutch and Blade Safety Switches and Make Sure they are Good. Then Check the Ignition Switch and then the Soienoid. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.
