Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): scotts 6.25 mower, coil ignition, proper time

Question
my mower usually starts up fine but when it gets hot it wont restart. But the real problem is that it now wont start at all. I ran it in my back yard and it ran fine and when i went to use it in the front yard i could not get it to fire up. I checked for spark (o.k.) drained float bowl i just don't know where to go from there. Can you help

Answer
 Hello Jarret:

Usually the Gets Hot, Quits and Wont Restart is a Bad Coil/Ignition Module. However, Check the Compression. If the Compression is Good, then Put a Small Amount of Gas into the Carburetor Throat and Try to Start the Engine. What Happens? If you have Compression, Gas and Fire, then Check the Flywheel Key. If the Key is Damaged, the Plug will Fire, but Not at the proper Time and the Engine will Not Start. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck
