Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): trouble starting mower, turkey baster, fuel tank

Question
My 6.5 hp B&s engine Craftsman mower is difficult to start. It is only one year old. Filter is very clean, and I changed the plug. You have to firmly prime it several times then it will run for a few seconds. If I prime it once it starts I can keep it going but it still dies out as if it isn't getting enough fuel. Please help.

Answer
Have you drained the fuel tank and carburetor bowl?  You can drain the fuel tank with an old turkey baster or siphon pump.  The carb can be drained by removing the bowl nut located on the bottom of the carburetor.  Once drained, re-fill with brand new fuel.
Let me know what happens.
