Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears Transaxle, oil leakage, transaxle

Question
I own a 96 14hp LT and the end of last season I started to notice trouble with the T/A (had to be bled) Getting it prep for this season the t/a was totally inactive until several bleeding and then theres a little winning. I check out the backlash of the gears everything seams fine mechanically. Looks like oil leakage from axles has been present. Good old sears service manual doesn't give grade or quantity oil used in the t/a. I'm really only trying to get one more season out of this tractor.

Answer
 Hello Craig:

Most of the Transaxles use SAE 30 Engine Oil for Fluid. Only a Few of the Hydrostatic and Hydromatic Transaxles Require Special Oil. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck
