Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ignition Switch, trickle charger, battery terminals

I've been having trouble starting my riding mower, an elecrtic start Craftsman. New battery, new solenoid about 4 months ago. It used to not crank sometimes, but now not at all. Can it be the ignition switch? Thanks!

What is the model number of the tractor?  The model number format is xxx.xxxxx

Have you charged the battery with a trickle charger?  When you replaced the battery did you clean the battery terminals and cable end with a wire brush before you connected the battery?
