Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda gc 160, 5.0, carburator adjustment, go cart, shaft

bought this engine for a go cart. idles too high. where and how do i adjust?

On the exterior of the carb you should see the idle screw.  It should have a spring on the screw.  One end of the screw will be toughing the carburetor throttle butterfly shaft.  The butterfly shaft is the part on the carburetor that moves back and fourth when you accelerate or slow down.
