Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): generator, gas filter, magnetos

l have a tecumseh 10 hr generator =. bought it used from a friend using it latley in the winter.started run rough so l changed oil ,spark plug, gas filter and line. fired up on second pull best it has ever done. went to use it later that day wont fire up. no fire getting to the spark plug. whats up , how much is the part and where can l get it don

If your sure there is no spark then the next thing to check would be the kill wire that runs from the magneto to the engine kill switch make sure the casing isnt broken and the wire is not rubbing and grounding out somewhere. also inspect the sparkplug wire for any cuts. Could be the switch itself. and sometimes the magnetos do fail. The magnetos cost around $35 any small engine repar shop can do the repair
