Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite Blower, spark plug wires, spark plug wire

Question
Blower was running fine with normal use.  Motor stoped and I have not been able to start the motor seens.  It appears the spark plug wire has a nic (possible by wear) about half way through the white core.  Would this be sufficent to stop the spark?  If so is it possible to replace this cord without replacing the magneto the cord is epoxied into?
We tryed pulling the start cord to generate spark and we were not able to.
Would a leaf blower have any kind of electrical trip that would be inhibiting the spark?

Answer
The wire may be bad.  Unfortunatly very few spark plug wires are replacable.  Your blower does have a switch or other device to shut-off the engine.  A bad switch can prevent spark.
Is the unit just a blower or a blower/vac combo unit?  Do you have a multimeter?
