Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): LAWNBOY MOWER, fly wheel, spark model

Question
WILL NOT START. NO SPARK.  DISCONNECTED WIRE FROM COIL. NO SPARK.  

MODEL 10312, SILVER SERIES SERIAL #49006353

WHAT IS THE GAGE BETWEEN COIL AND FLY WHEEL?
WHAT IS THE COMPRESSION SETTING  ON THIS MOWER ?
HOW DO YOU TEST THE COIL?

Answer
.010-.015 should be good for the gap.  By disconnecting the small wire from the coil and pulling the string to test for spark you isolate the coil from all other circuits.  If the coil does not produce spark then it is very likely, 99% chance the coil is defective.

What is you compression reading?
