Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): GC160 Honda wont start, starter rope, proper settings

Question
I have a GC 160 Honda 5.0 mounted on a Go-Kart and it stopped running on the second day of ridding. I have replaced the coil & replaced the flywhell key, soaked & remounted the carb (which there is no gas on the plug) & the last thing I see is the timing belt to replace. But what are the proper settings for the carb, could it be the Gov,tikming belt or am I missing something on this simple motor?
Please help? My son wants to ride now or a least before, Christmas.

Answer
Hello Dale,
There is no timing belt on this engine.  However if i remember correctly the GC160 has an external fuel pump.  Take the fuel line off of the carburetor and see if fuel comes out when you are pulling the starter rope.  Keep in mind that gasoline is extremely flammable.  Hope this was of help to you.
