Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): timing problom, spec numbers, valve clearance

i have a 6.5 Tecumseh that i just rebuilt the timing marks are in the right place but it fires through the exhaust

 Did you Set the Valve Clearance when you Installed them? The Gap Between the Tappet and the Valve Stem when the Piston is at TDC should be at Least .010 and .012 Exhaust and .006 and .008 Intake on Most Tecumsehs Works Well.
