Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snowmobile, yamaha phazer, carburetor

Question
I pulled out my two Yamaha Phazer snowmobiles yesterday. One started and ran fine. The second one took a few more pulls, started, but when I gave it gas, there was raw fuel coming out of the exhaust. I think its a stuck float. But not sure. I have someone that is great at fixing snowmobiles, but he has four of them ahead of me, it could be late Jan. before he will have time to look at mine. Am I on the right track as far as the float in the carb. ? I feel very confident at pulling the set of carbs, cleaning, repairing. This is a 1989 Phazer. What do you think?

Answer
 Hello Dave:

You are Correct. Lightly Tap the Side of the Carburetor a Few Times to Jar the Needle. If this Doesn't Help, then Remove and Clean the Carburetor. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Thanks.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John
