Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears Lawn and Garden Repair, sears lawn and garden, sourse

Question
Hi, I have a sears backpack blower and a trimmer that are having issues. The blower will not crank, it has the incredipull start system (model 316.794990), which seems as it is broken, as it will pull, but there is a clicking sound and it turns the starter  inside a very little bit each time. The trimmer has a broken pull start rope (model 358.795800). I figure that it shouldn't be too hard to repair these items, but I would like to find a manual for repair. Any ideas? The main issue is that both items are under the two year warranty (made in 2005), but I cannot find the receipt, so it will be $95 each to repair them. Seems as though the parts are under $50, I should do it myself, but want to make sure I am getting it right.

Answer
fist  of all  sears   products are made by other companies.  so alot of times  if sears.com  doesn,t take you to a go page>>>>   determine who made your unit for them  and go there.   a good sourse  is weedeatter company . com    also try  m-and-d.com   and search  around.   as you have said...  alot of times the parts needed are cheap, but labor to have repaired end up  exceeding the cost  of just plain  replacing the unit unless its the more exspencive  models.   most of times  the $99.00  dollar models????????  unless your handy,  its just better to  close your eyes and disgard them  sorry to say
