Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ariens Snowblower only runs with chke on, ariens snowblower, air mixture

i...I have a 35-year-old Ariens snowblower that only runs with the choke on.  Think I need to adjust carb.  Moel us #910955, Serial # is 094935.  Any thougts on how to do this appreciated.

first of all depends on how long it sat,  and if carb. fuel bowl  and passages are cleaned in carburator.   you may try and adjust the carb.   the best way i can say is>>>>  the mixtrue screw > turn it in lightly til it stops. back it out 1 and 1 half turns.   the air mixture screw>>>>>>>>>  turn it in same as above,  and back out 1 and 1 quarter to 1/2 turns.   fire it up,  and adjust  running by tweaking them  one way or other til it runs best. also check air filter ,  if none of this works out?  it may need more service.
