Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ariens 3.5hp Snowthrower jams up, merry christmas and happy new year, snow thrower

Question
We received a big snow storm overnight and this morning I tried using the snow thrower.  I purchased this used and is my first time using.  It worked ok for a while but there was a ton of snow.  Eventually the snow thrower reached the bottom of the snow where it was wet and then the snow thrower got jammed up.  Instead of shooting snow high in the air, it started spitting out clumps of snow that looked like logs, and clogging up the snow thrower.  Is there any way to prevent this?  Would waxing the blades help?  I have the throttle full up but not sure if that is making the blades go any faster or if that would even help.
Thanks, Jim

Answer
 Hello Jim:

To Prevent the Wet Snow from Building up I Wax the Blades and the Hopper. The Wet Snow has Trouble Sticking if the Blades and Hopper are Smooth. Wet Snow will Always be a Problem. The Slight Friction Between the Blades and the Hopper Create Heat and this Small Amount of Heat and the Wet Snow Combined are the Cause of the Problem. Wax Helps but you will Still have this Problem, Only Not as Often. Hope this Helps. I am here if you require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John

PS: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (:-))
