Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears snowblower model 536 xxxxxxxxx, merry christmas and happy new year, crafstman

Question
John,
My son and I picked up a sears crafstman snowblower from a neighbor, it starts easy when fully choked and primed 6-10 times; but dies rather fast, almost like it is not getting gas. We used it the end of last year a few times and it only ran when fully choked (it would die within seconds otherwise) and would die within 5-10 minutes.  This year it only starts as mentioned and then dies within 10 seconds.
Can you help us?

Answer
 Hello Bill:

If the Gas is Free Flowing to the Carburetor Inlet, then I Suggest you Remove and Disassemble the Carburetor and Soak it Overnight in Carburetor Cleaning Solution (I use Gunk). Then Blow Out the Passages with Compressed Air. Install New Kit. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John

PS: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (:-))
