Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite Weedwacker, merry christmas and happy new year, exhaust port

Question
Hi there, I own a Homelite weedwacker, Serial Number: AG1820765.  The problem is it takes really long before it gets started. Example, when I pull the string, I have to pull for about 10-20 minutes before it actually starts and when i stop it to start over again, the same thing happens. It has gas in it when I try this. I also need to know how I can service my weedwacker on my own.  Thanks in advance for any information given.

Answer
 Hello Ikca:

Send me the Model Numbers, Please. With these I can Locate a Breakdown/IPL and Better Assist you. However, Remove the Muffler and Check the Exhaust Port for Blockage. Check the Muffler and Spark Arrestor Screen(in the Muffler) for Blockage. If these are Clear, then the Carburetor needs to be Cleaned and Rebuilt. You can Go to this Addy http://www.homelite.com/parts/index.htm and Select the Go to Parts Store. Then Enter the Model Numbers and Click Search. Then Double Click on your Model in the Search results Area. Servicing the Weedwacker is Simple. Replace the Fuel Filter in the Tank, Clean the Exhaust Port, Replace the Air Filter and Replace the Spark Plug. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks. Be Safe.

 Good Luck

 Respectfully

 John

PS:  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year (:-))
