Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman riding mower will not start, merry christmas and happy new year, positon

Hi, I have a Craftsman riding lawn. LT1750(M#917.272228) With a Kohler 17.5 H.P. Engine.  I was mowing with it last summer, when it sudenly died. I tryed to start it agin but it would not fire. It turns over fine. I can get it to start and run if I hold the igniton key to the start positon. When I am holding the key to start it runs fine till I let go and it goes back to the run positon. then the motor stalls. Thanks

 Hello Arlington:

 Check the Ignition Switch. The Problem you Described Sounds like a Bad Ignition Switch. Check the Model Numbers, Please. I can't Locate a Breakdown/IPL in my Manuals or Online for the Model Numbers you Sent me. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance. Let me know what Happens, Please. Thanks.
