Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Husqvarna Snowblowers, shaft move, forward gears

I Have a Husqvarna 7-23R snowblower. I would like to know how to adjust the transmission. It has 4 forward gears and 2 reverse,However whatever gear I put it in it backs up is there anyway to adjust the Transmission to solve this Problem.

 Hello Jim:

 The Closest I Breakdown/IPL I caould Locate was for a ST 723. The Model Numbers should be Similar to SB 723 or St 723. If your Snowblower is a Disc Drive as the ST723 is then the Shifter Fork has come Loose from the Shifting Shaft. Move the Shifter and Watch the Shaft. Does the Shaft Move when you move the Shifter? If the Shaft is Moving, then you need to Disassemble and Check the Forks. they May have Broken Loose from the Shaft. Hope this Helps. I am here if you Require more Assistance.
