got a snow blower from a friend the model number is worn off but from what i have seen online i guess its from the 70's maybe 80's my ? is the rod that runs from the shifter on the right handle down into the gears area, this would be the rod that shifts the trans, could you tell me a place to buy a new one as mine is busted thanks for you time
-----Answer-----
can you tell me where about it is broken?  i do know you can buy rod stock metals at home depot > or bigger hardware stores,  and bent up a new one on your own.  or possible  have it welded . as for trans.  i do believe this motel only used a frition disk type drive system.
anyway  if none of this is helpful,  if your in my area,  i could help you out with one i,m sure, but i need to see old one in some way.

Answer
do you have a torch?  put in your  bench vise heat it and it will bent easy using a box wrench little bigger then rod dia.  heat it til its red hot.  mark where it needs to be bent.  or take to a local garage or metal shop  i,m sure they can help you.
