Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Simplicity 8/25 manu.# 1692466, tuff torq, 1rst

Question
This Self propelled Chipper/Vacuum has a three speed Transmission. 1rst, and 2nd are operational. Third is not.
With a little discovery, I found that the transmission is a "Tuff Torq KL3-C". I even downloaded drawings of the internals. Is this transmission available @ a reasonal price?, Are they rebuildable?, What would a pro do?

 I Suggest you Purchase the Transmission from this Addy http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/parts.asp and Select the Parts Look Up Box. Then Select the OEM(Simplicity) and Enter the Model Numbers. Then Double Click on the Model in the Search Results Area. You can Locate the Part Numbers and Order the Part/Transmission from this Site.
